We are lucky to have inherited a number of public green spaces in the town centre. It is seen as our duty to lobby to retain and even enhance them, to keep them relevant to current park users. Several of our parks have been, or might be in the near future, impacted by commercial development.

Regular maintenance, contracted out to idVerde, is now constrained by budgetary requirements. As a part of our support we run campaigns and projects which we believe will protect and enhance these parks for generations to come. Details on each of these is given on associated pages.
